What We Believe

Berean Fellowship of Churches
Under the Leadership of Bishop Timothy Clarke

At the Berean Leadership Group, we are deeply committed to the following core beliefs that guide our ministry, our actions, and our community. This statement of beliefs outlines our theological foundation and commitment to living out our faith in practical, impactful ways. We invite you to join us in this journey of faith, growth, and service:

The Authority of Scripture

We believe in the divine inspiration, truth, and authority of the Bible. It is the foundation of our faith, the guide for our conduct, and the revelation of God’s will.

The Triune God

We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This Holy Trinity is central to our faith and worship.

The Lordship of Jesus Christ

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His atoning death on the cross, His resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His future return in power and glory.

Salvation Through Grace

We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It is a gift from God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. We are called to respond to this gift with a life of gratitude and service.

The Work of the Holy Spirit

We believe in the present and active ministry of the Holy Spirit, who empowers believers for holy living, guides us into all truth, and bestows spiritual gifts for the edification of the Church.

The Unity of Believers

We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. This unity transcends denominational boundaries and fosters fellowship, cooperation, and mutual support among Christians.

The Great Commission

We believe in the responsibility and privilege of every believer to proclaim the Gospel and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to observe all that Christ has commanded.

Holiness and Sanctification

We believe in living a life of holiness, set apart for God’s purposes. This involves ongoing sanctification, a process of becoming more like Christ through the work of the Holy Spirit.

Compassion and Justice

We believe in demonstrating Christ’s love through acts of compassion and justice. We are called to care for the poor, seek justice for the oppressed, and work towards reconciliation in our communities and the world.

The Second Coming of Christ

We believe in the personal, visible, and imminent return of Jesus Christ to establish His kingdom. This blessed hope inspires us to live in readiness, holiness, and active service.
